Year 4 2017 - 2018

Mrs Egan

Mrs Egan is our

Class Teacher

  Mrs Bennett is our

   Teaching Assistant

In Year 4 we aim to help the children to build on the skills and knowledge that they have gained in Year 3 and to become more independent and confident learners as the year progresses, to enable them to face new challenges in preparation for the Upper Juniors.  Welcome to Year 4

Our class Christian Value is Trust.

Our Class Assembly this term is on Thursday October 12th.

Our PE Days this half term are Mondays and Thursdays.

Wider Opportunities Brass lessons take place each Tuesday.  Your child needs to take their instrument home to practise each week but must have it in school on Tuesdays as the children work on new skills and music during these lessons.

Each week your child will bring home an English and a Maths activity or may have something linked to their Research Project which will involve written skills.  Homework is given out on a Friday and should be returned to school when completed, and no later than Tuesday for them to receive a Dojo reward and allow me time to mark the work before the next week's task is given. The homework tasks are specifically designed for you and your child to share, rather than a solitary task for them. If parents and children share an activity in which the child has to explain aspects of English and Maths learned at school it helps them to make their learning deeper.
