We are a group of ten pupils, representing all the children in school, who meet together to discuss, help plan and evaluate worship in our school and services at St Luke’s Church which we attend. We also think about Timothy, the little boy from Uganda who we sponsor as a school and think of ways in which we can raise money to support him. We want to do this because we want to be more like Jesus and we want to live by Christian Values in our school. We share what we have talked about in our meeting with the rest of our classes so that everyone in school is involved.
We have recently met as a team to organise our new School Value Dojo Awards. In each classroom we have added the 4 core value awards of Love, Joy, Hope and Peace. These Dojos are given out to children who demonstrate these values around school. We thought of reasons for why the dojos may be received and designed the logos for each of these. We really enjoyed participating in this project and look forward to our half termly Dojo Assemblies to see who has won each award in each class.
This year, working alongside Miss Bentley (RE Lead) we will be evaluating the RE and Worship curriculum that we use and will be looking at how we can develop the reflection spaces we have around school in order to achieve the School/Church Partnership 2 Award.
We are proud to be Worship Wonders and look forward to the busy year ahead!
