Welcome to Year 3!

Our class Christian Value is Service.

In our class we strive to be the very best we can be and we try our hardest in everything we do. We aim for the children to become independent learners who always have a go! As children enter the juniors, they learn to take more responsibility for themselves and their learning and we encourage them to aim high and to challenge themselves every day.

Over the year we will be looking at a variety of different and exciting things, so feel free to browse our class page to find out more information about what we study in Year 3.

PE 

Our PE day this term is Thursday. Children should come to school in their school PE kit on this day.

Homework

Every half term, there will be a homework 'menu' sent home. Children can choose one item to complete every week. Try to complete at least one 'Extra Hot' challenge each half term. We share homework as a class every Friday, so please share what you have completed on Class Dojo.

Spellings

We teach daily, whole class spelling sessions using the Spelling Shed programme; these are based around a particular spelling pattern. The children will have a list of words linked to this pattern to practise at home; Spelling Frame supports this. We will have a weekly quiz on Fridays.
