Dear Parents and Carers

It is unfortunate that we are entering a period of school closure. However, we really value your continued support. To ensure your child/children continue to access the learning, I have provided a pack of year four activities and resources that are the main focus of learning at this stage of the school year. These resources include both written worksheets and online learning activities. The following web links can be used to access a wealth of useful resources:

Year 4

This is a link to some really good Maths and English activities. They are similar to the activities that we use in class.

Remember to look at the letters in the stars in the bottom corner:

D – easier

E – medium

GD – tricky!

Choose the level that you would like to have a go at.

Some of these activities are also in your pack – there are others on the website to have a go at.

BBC Bitesize – History – Vikings

KS2 Activity Book

Try different spelling rules for Year 3 and 4. Remember you can access spelling rules for any year group if you feel like you want to revisit some from Year 1 and 2.

Keep improving your times table recall with short bursts on TT Rockstars.

Free Online Maths and English games.

A free online learning site packed full of Maths, Reading, Grammar, Spelling and History activities for children to use independently. (Requires sign up by a parent for free).

There are a number of resources available on the website that you can work through with your child including a list of useful websites. Also the 'Take Away' homework sheet provides a lot of activities that you can also work through. Should there be any further updates we will send you a message either through the school text messaging service or Class DOJO.

Many Thanks,

Mrs Beechey
