What if the world had no imagination?

This week we are delving into the film 'Mary Poppins'. Today we began watching the film, up until when Mary Poppins arrives! We did some research about what real nannies were like in 1910 (when the film is set) and we have discovered that Mary wasn't the typical nanny. Our question of the week 'what if the world had no imagination?' is beginning to have a few answers. Mary Poppins would be quite different! The character herself would be older and more cruel, the other nannies wouldn't have blown away and Jane and Michael's advert certainly wouldn't have floated up the chimney.
I wonder what else wouldn't have happened in Mary Poppins if there was no imagination? How about in school? At home in our everyday lives? Comment if you have any exciting answers!
